Wolf 1.42d (aka iortcw) released!
As a slightly belated Christmas present...a new release is available for download!
As usual, lots of fixes and updates...
Wait, what happened to 1.42c? I skipped a release with this version to avoid confusion with another project that uses that version number.
Anyway...
The most visual of the changes probably would be aspect correction for widescreen resolutions. (No more stretched crosshairs, etc.). This is controlled by a new cvar:
cg_fixedAspect: (Automatically sets aspect corrected field of view / HUD / UI...based on your active resolution)
0 = Off (Old behavior - stretched)
1 = 4:3 Style
2 = Widescreen Style
Screens:
cg_fixedAspect 0
cg_fixedAspect 1
cg_fixedAspect 2
Note: For MP, this may not be available when playing on pure mod servers that require their own cgame/ui modules. (Like OSP and Omnibot)
Another new cvar in this release is for MP:
cl_showPing: ( Display a real, per snapshot ping reading above the compass at the bottom center)
0 = Off
1 = On
Other updates include:
Fixed Quick Saves and saved cutscene loading.
Automatic search for game files within Steam install folders.
OpenAL sound system updated to 1.17.0
Improved speculars, fixed sunlight color, and overall general visual improvements in Rend2 (See rend2-readme.txt)
Zlib updated for large file support (pk3 files larger than 2GB. Will provide more flexibility for hi-res textures)
Support SP pk3 checks for non-English versions ( French, German, Italian, Spanish )
Fix fullscreen mode with tiling window managers on *nixs
Add qvm support for more platforms and OS's including Raspberry Pi

Re: Wolf 1.42d (aka iortcw) released!
Tried installilng 1.42d and when I start ioWolfMP.x86 I get a red screen and the Quake III dialog never shows up. I tried reverting to 1.42a which had previously worked for me but it does the same thing. Any ideas? I'm running Windows 7 64 bit.
Thanks
Thanks

Deleting my wolfconfig_mp.cfg files has resolved the problem.
