Banned from #1

Ive been telling folks how good the admins were on ECGN #1, then this weekend one of my clan mates was banned for no reason. All he did was beat sombody to the M10 on EL Al twice. Granted hes not the best player by a long shot, but i didnt think because your not that good = ban:help: .Can he get unbanned so we can still play on ECGN?

That's not usually a cause for a ban. Are you sure that there wasn't something else that went on? Did he drive to the tank? I am sure an admin will answer, it probably would help them if you provided the name of your clan mate

His name is [AM]Oreilly and I havnt had a chance to talk to him yet do to work. :help:

It looks like a mistake ArtBell, the logs show that [AM]Oreilly
was time banned for a short period because of to many
snipers on Tobruk. his guid is still in the banlist, the
server manager must have not lifted the time ban when it
should have.

i will send a pm to the admin that did the time ban, and we
will see about lifting the ban.

I sure appreciate the quick responce, atleast now we can go back to ECGN and play weekend warrior again. I was thinking it was a sniper kick, I will advise him of his mistake so it doesnt happen again. Again much thanks:D Now off to the graveyard shift i go, I hate work.

ArtBell, tell your buddy to try and join the server, i think the
ban has been lifted.

Yep, ban removed. This is the second time this has happened, when I gave someone a tempban for snipers, it left their name on the list.

As a policy, I give 10min bans for too many snipers, since just handing out a kick was proven to be ineffective in fixing the problem...

We'll look into any problems the manager may be having.
