Why?

I was on the beach tonight, all thats happening is I'm loosing sound over and over, thats dumb. The other thing, WTF is there a language filter for, do we have a 5 yr old admin somewhere, who cares about the language, according to the game box you should be 17+ if your playing this game so it should we should be treated that way. Everone is old enough to handle words.

I agree Tool, we should be able to say what we want. Nothing like a well placed "FUCK" when u make a mistake or get ur ass handed to you. Im not advocating tearing somebody a new asshole with profanity, but those cocksuckin doorblockers deserve it! :mad:

nothing is perfect...it may be for 17+, (and illegal in germany) but, im only 14...i could care less about what i read. Its just words....we will probibally never ever see each other in real life, and i know weve all lost it,

.... as for the sound, the more players, airstrikes, pansers, explosions, gunshots, etc there are, the more likely you are to lose sound. this game is meant for 32 player max. beach is a small level meant for probibally 24 tops. so....thats why u lose sound...too much for the game (not ur comp) to handle at once.

I, for one, am grateful for the language filters. I get tired of seeing the intellectually-challenged dropping swear words all over the place. I don't expect anyone to agree; but I like it. If I wanted to hear swear words every 2 seconds I'd go back to high school:P .

Thing I don't understand is why the filters are there. Doubt that someone name Motha Fucka has a problem with swearing. Someone plz enlighten me on the topic. Don't get me wrong, I like them; just don't understand why they're there.

i dont mind being intellectual,but there is a time and a place for that. a 64 man beach server is neither the time nor the place. only adults should be playing this game anyways.

That wasn't exactly what I was meaning Edogg. I was aluding to the fact that people with lower IQ's do tend to use more swear words. I, for one, get tired of watching all their f bombs. I agree that only adults SHOULD be playing this game. However, that is not even close to the case. There are a ton of kids on that server whether we like it or not. I think we should be responsible and watch our language because of that fact. Just my little ol opinion. I understand that the vast majority here are quite fond of their coarse language and will disagree. flame on.

I'm not sure that a language filter exists on the server, perhaps racists words are banned, but that should be it.

I'll check with MMmmgood and if there is one, we'll remove it.

haha.....i dont think that they should have bans/age restrictions on games (unless its got porn and crap in it). if we are old enough to handle it, and our parrents aggree, we shouldnt have to worry about it. guys....listen up...if u remember duke nukem for the N64..i rented that when i was 10, my dad laughed when we played that game together. it is only a game. Now i have let a word or two slip out of my mouth here and there, but heck guys, theres more profanity at my school than there is when a guy drops an F bomb on the server. well, ill quit complaining, time for the first game of the day

Bukkake, don't worry about the language thing. I'm not going to be offended by any of it. Heck, I've heard it all and at different times in my life have used all the same words (in unique and imaginative combos I might add). I wasn't meaning to get into a big argument on this thread. Some people were saying that the filter (whether it was ever there in the first place I don't know) sucked and I was just chiming in that I liked the idea. Either way, I like OC48 and will be there.

The idea that people who swear alot generally have lower IQ's is fueled by the fact that your perception makes you think they have a small vocabulary, which in turn makes people think they generally have a lower IQ, you can't tell anyones IQ online. In the game, if I'm yelling at someone, I'm not going to write a book, I'm gonna use nice SHORT 4 letter words to get it done, overwith and to the point. If you think these people have lower IQ's then you must have a really high IQ cause your vocabulary is marvelous......... BTW check my grammar to see if my IQ is suffering. o and Motha Fucka, the language filter was on fuck and shit too, it would gib me when I sayed anything like that.

Dont get me wrong Wick never swear around my or anybody elses children....I'm usually half way decent out in public too:D But i think that on this game sometimes u just have to let a few cuss words out. I'm not talkin directly at someone to insult them(except doorblockers), just to release some anger from screwin up, or chat amongst buddies.
