Banned

Postby LeVar Burton » Sat Sep 11, 2004 9:42 pm

I just downloaded the new patch... tried to join and it says I'm banned. I'm guessing this is from that banning a while ago that was never cleared up. So what happens?

It said the registry lookup doesn't work, but I don't think I have the case anymore. The first five from the lookup are 37a5b.

you can find your cd key using regedit.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\Electronic Arts\EA Games\Battlefield Vietnam\ergc

then plug that into the cd key hash generator and give us the first 5.

When I go under EA Games, I only see 1942 and the two expansions... I can see the ergc for them, but Vietnam is under another directory?

Vietnam should be by default in the same directory.

in the registry, i have separate folders for 1942, rtr, sw and vietnam. could it be that your game is no longer associated with a cd key?

I'd reinstall the game.

Have you tried doing a registry search for "Vietnam"?

I just uninstalled it... I searched for vietnam in the registry before and there was only the two listings under the EA games folder and not the Electronic Arts/EA games. I'm going to look in my car and some of my boxes, but I have a feeling I threw it away. If all else fails I think one of my brothers isn't using his. Thanks for the help anyway.
