Maximum was banned

Postby ToeJam » Fri Oct 22, 2004 11:11 pm

Somehow during gameplay tonight around 23:00, Maximum was kicked and then banned. I thought the kick was because he was losing key packets via PB, but talking to him on TS proved it wasn't the case. He and I were the only two admins playing on BFV#2 at the time and I didn't do anything but kick an AFK'er minutes before. Can one of the higher admins check this out and see where it came from/what happened?

Thanks

Mike

There is no such ban in the log. All I have is a disconnect arounf 23:30.
Are you sure the message said he was banned?

Chacal,

That's what he told me in TS. Residue, Schrapnel and Quentin are also aware.

Thanks,

Mike

PS: There have been some weird PB O/S violations lately. Quentin had trouble getting in himself tonight.

We had just finished Saigon and the scores were up. Up pops a screen saying "data differs from server". Then I go to reconnect and that is when it said "banned from server". I restarted BFV and still said the same thing. I looked into the banned logs and couldn't find anything. It was too late to try to do anything cause the server was to full.
I am back on the server now, don't know what happened.

Thanks ToeJam for taking the time to help!!

ToeJam, I forgot to mention, since your a fairly new admin, anytime right before you ban or kick someone, make sure you press refresh. You do this so that the names match up with the correct player number at the time. For some reason the player numbers switch around after every match.
