Why am I banned?

I haven't played on ECGN for several weeks, and when I tried to get on the server the last couple of days it said I was banned by punkbuster, and I have no idea why. Can I get this ban removed, please? Also, can you tell me why I was banned? I did have to do a new install of RTCW and punkbuster since last on ECGN (early January). Did I do something (or not do something) wrong with the reinstall of RTCW or PB? I noticed that RTCW is no longer supported by PB and the master server is down since last playing on ECGN. Thanks for your help.

Try erasing and re-entering your key -- sometimes it gets corrupt or doesn't enter properly (or you just forgot to enter it) after a re-install.
