Doh! really should have looked at this list before I spent ages looking for a free sound editing program. I ended uo with audacity anyway, could have save a lot of time.

Handbrake is a great DVD-to-MPEG application. Easy to use and free; that's what I like.

REcently I was searching for a good program to burn DVDs with and Found FinalBurner to be the best FREE one that would actually work. Just to let you folks know who may or may in the future be searching.
