Give me a tenner and a sharpish knife and I'll get you your third.

Scratch the sharp, I'll settle for rusty.

Yeah, I didn't catch the news on that one the other day. Sad Sad Sad

I've always been a big Michael fan. There's a lot of talk now about the songs being timeless and appealing to multiple generations. Very true. At my daughter's birthday party in November, which I ended up playing DJ at, I was surprised when the kids were requesting Thriller and Beat It. (Fun seeing a bunch of 12 and 13 year olds doing the Thriller dance.) Also, coincidentally I was just listening to Michael Jackson songs with MsB's kids in the car (who also love MJ). MsB's daughter (Serenity) has an uncanny ability to sing along to the MJ songs and imitate his sound almost exactly...Fun times

I'm sorry I'll never get the chance to see him perform live. :(

No kidding! If it weren't for MJ dying, we would have been treated to a solid day of Farrah Fawcett in her prime--the 1970s for those of you too young to know ;)
She was just flat out the all-American vision of beauty when she was young. Instead of we get multiple days of non-stop Michael Jackson, a piss poor trade off IMHO.

Remembers me of Mother Teresa dying at the same time of Lady Di. There was a cartoon in my local paper of her sneaking into paradise through a side door while Lady Di was entering The Pearly Gates to a huge welcoming committee.
