Got a couple of these myself - it's not because of an outdated vB version, afaik. Maybe the admins can figure it out through the accounts that have signed up?

Well...uh....duh. But the question of "how are they getting validated forum accounts?" is kinda the one I want to know. I haven't checked, but most places require a validated email and/or captcha to prevent just such an occasion.
