Make mine tequila, and you kids keep the piss water for yerselves.
All the credit goes to Chacal, as all I did was point out what looked like an obvious fog hack user. I had no idea he was using more then that, as becomes real obvious from what Chacal saw the guy doing.
Sadly, I've been seeing a LOT of this stuff being used when the admins aren't visible. These hacks have hit the public in a big way, and I see them being used constantly on other servers without the strong admin presence that BF42 has. It's a shame, as it shows that BF is going the same way CS did, being plagued by hacks that are being used by the casual player AND by the competative player. On the WOLF server for FH, I've run into a couple of known units that use them quite blatantly. Sadly, the admining on that server is pretty hapazard, but the admins DO take action when they see it..it's just getting them on to see that is the problem.
By the same token, I've seen people get accused of using hacks because someone couldn't accept they got their ass handed to them by someone not in a clan, complete with screenshots and diagrams(I kid you not), PROVING the person was using a hack. I pointed out that the screenshots, if they were the persons actual screen resolution, explained the entire problem...they were all in 640x480 res, low detail, low visual distance setting. Naturally, THOSE screenshots would indicate someone was using a hack, since there's no way they could see the distances they were shooting people at. I told the admin checking on it to go to the spots in the screens and check what HE saw on higher res with full visual distance... Funny thing is, this was in defense of a player I don't really LIKE, but he's not using hacks..he's just an asswipe. The person who accused him is even worse though..so..it was a lesser of two evils deal
