1.4 Patch back to 1.33 Patch: HELP!!!

HELP!!! i download the 1.4 patch, and it mucked my game! i tried to revert back to 1.33 version, using the guide in the shrub website. but its too complicated!!!! some plez help me reverting back 2 1.33 version.

the easiest way: Uninstall the game, and start over from scratch.

Actually there is no need to uninstall and re-install. I got this quick fix courtesy of the Shrub guys. It's not as complicated as you might think;

You'll have to run the "Regedit" tool. This can be daunting to some, but just follow these instructions exactly and you'll be ok.

Click "Start", then "Run" then type "Regedit" and click "OK".
Click the plus sign next to the "folder" named HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
Click the plus sign next to "Software"
Click the plus sign next to "Activision"
Click directly on the folder named "Return to Castle Wolfenstein"
On the right side of the Regedit Window double-click the "Version" value and then just type 1.31.
Click "OK" then close "Regedit".

Now download and run the full 1.33 Patch. This will allow you to install the 1.33 patch over the 1.4 update.

Viola! Instant 1.33 Wolfenstein!

U have saved loadz of time, thanx alot. u explained it really well, and i thank u for it. but there is one thing i dont get. why did they realease the 1.4 patch if it mucks up your menu screen?

Doesn't work at all.

Once I click the scroll bar in server list, no other buttons works after.

Had to quit in console to get out of the game.

Yeah it works for me too.

I just did a reinstall then everything worked fine with patch 1.33. Next thing I know the OC48 admins tell us that they're installing the patch 1.4 tonight.

Yeah, Angrybrit, similar situation though unlike you, I was lazy enough to have accidentally waited for the admins to upgrade to 1.4.....

Make sure you don't mess around with Regedit much, its totally fine what you did. Just saying because some dumb people get in there and bye bye computer, just make sure you follow lord zog and don't do anything else for your sake.

hmm weird ive never had any probs with the 1.4 patch although sometimes i cant even get in the oc servers even if i know for sure that they are up and running. does someone know why this happens ??
or perhaps it is the 1.4...
