I just moved my RtCW to a new server (Linux Fedora). It is telling me that my PB is running an old version. I ran "pbweb.x86" from the new box. It tells me the files are updated, but when I connect a client to the server, there are "old version" messages all over the place.
Question: how can I get my server to get the latest PB files? A manual installation seems like the only way to go.
Thanks in advance.

Punkbuster should update itself.

We got that on our server as well. I think it just goes away on it's own after a short while.

I figured out the problem:
Pbweb.x86 says:
"pbweb must be launched from the home "pb" folder where the game is installed.
If launched from another location, pbweb will not be able to update PunkBuster."
My RtCW is installed in /home/username/wolfenstein/, which makes /home/username/wolfenstein/pb/ the above mentioned directory.
That is not correct. It must be run from the /home/user/.user/pb/ directory.
I ran it from there, and it updated fine and works fine.
Thanks to all who responded.
