please can door blockers!!!

the 24/7 beach server is being bombed by door blockers. what is the command to bind so i can push theses jerks out of the way? I know it is salute but i need to bind it to a key.

I'd recommend binding it to mouse2, since you can use it to do other things like dragging corpses. The syntax is:

/bind mouse2 +salute

You can replace mouse2 with any other key. Note that if you get stuck in pushing mode, type "/-salute" in the console.

shrub, i really do miss the pushing people off of high places, but hey, as far as kills that fall into 'shoving', how do you gett shoving kills?

Some people are constantly shoving all the time, you get close to them and they shove you. Even when they are dead and not gibbed yet, they still can shove you.

How do you have shoving on all the time so you don't have to push a bind key? Is there a way?

The problem is people are binding it incorrectly.

Any command preceeded by a "+" sign will make the command a momentary action. If you leave out the "+" the command will stay on until the button is pushed again.

Some commands need to be momentary
"+moveleft"
"+zoom"
"+movedown"
"+moveright"
"+leanright"
"+leanleft"
"+activate"
"+salute"
"+dropweapon"
"+leanleft"
"+reload"
"+back"

You don't want to keep shooting until you hit the button again.

The proper way to bind the shove command is as follows;

/bind xx +salute

Having shove on all the time indicates two things; ignorance and sellfishness. Shove can be useful on offense when you have the docs, but for cripes's sake, don't always have it on.
