Unless you watch him play every time, there's no way you could know that.

Picmip does talking about previously caught cheaters make you nervous? Maybe as you get older you will understand behaviorism a bit better. Similar to addicts the majority of cheaters exhibit similar behaviors thus the statement once a cheat always a cheat. The odds of a previously caught cheater cheating again are extremely high.

Greetz

Only read first page of posts.

But I totally agree with Method. Cmon we've played this game for years we know the engine inside and out. those that defy its logic have to be up to something, bottom line.

I too fed up with certain players even more so when there are all on same team.

I've stated my views in other thread regarding coders. its ALL private now nothing will be made public so PB cannot do shit.

I see nothing wrong with banning those who defy the engine, servers logic. If you need proof your not gonna get it hackz have evolved and with what i;ve read near impossible to detect.

So where do you draw the line between exceptionally good and impossibly good?

The end result of banning people without evidence is that you will inevitably end up just banning everyone that is better than average, which is a shit idea IMO.

well im not saying ban people who are "impossibly" good.

im saying ban those that defy servers logic. servers has rules:

Excerpt from Matrix - Morpheus on Agents and Neo (Hacker):

Morpheus: Yet their strength and their speed are still based on a world that is built on rules. Because of that, they will never be as strong or as fast as you can be.

Kinda sums up my point.

Just to make sure I'm following...
You just quoted a sci-fi movie to sum up your point?

Also, I'm confused by what point it summed up.

just trying to point out how they are those who defy servers logic through strength and speed and the rest of us have to follow the rules within the server without defying the logic.

and whats wrong with quoting a sci-fi movie? this sums up normal players against hackers pretty clearly no?

The server runs checks to make sure peoples settings are within set parameters. Beyond that it's guesswork as to what is and isn't possible and if you can't prove that it's impossible it it's unreasonable to ban for it.

The line between someone being very good and someone defying logic is not as easy as it sounds to draw. Effectively what you are doing is not preventing hackers but setting a maximum allowable skill level, which in not justifiable to my mind.

savage i am aware server runs checks on cvars. it is the people who defy the logic of the cvar restrictions i am talking about.

as i said we've played this game long enough to know whats possible in the server environment and what is not.

either way im pretty much done with 1.4. 1.0 is way better by a very large margin. ecgn is great yes (had good games other night, teams very even) but being from europe cvar restrictions is too much of a handy cap for me and i hate it. Take Killing Time server with their cvar settings for exmaple when that was busy it had alot of euro players cutting the grade with high pingers and still to this day, not as busy as it was though. ECGN does makes me feel a poorer player than what i actually am. Im not saying im great but im not shit either.

I get what you are saying but what I'm telling you is that what is and isn't possible has a huge degree of subjectivity built into it. What people think is possible and what is actually possible are not the same thing.

Lol I'm a euro too so I know all about the difficulties getting kills with a suck ass ping as well. It's a pain in the ass.

Like the aspect that Parrot is well endowed. No one would imagine that it is possible, but it is.:censor:
