That defined it but still doesn't give an official ranking of which is worse.... to be owned or pwned?

As far as I can tell, pwn starts with a "p", however own starts with an "o", thus the obvious difference...:freak: :freak: :freak:

well why dont we just say that ownage and pwnage are 2 completely different entities that cannot and shall not be compared, each with a different meaning and association.

Not that I've done any kind of linguistic/colloquial study of the two terms, but I always had the sense that 'pwned' means to show superior display of skills in one related episode (as in, He pulled the faust out and I pwned him with my pistol... or.... They tried to hold the left wall so we bypassed it and ran the docs in the other way. They were pwned, totally.' On the other hand, 'owned' suggests an almost master-slave relationship. That the owners skills are so far and above the ownees the latter isn't even remotely in the same 'class' as the former.

Pwning someone has a sense that the lesser player can, with great practice, one day hope to fight back.

Owned implies that the loser is deficient in certain things, as say, their full frontal cortex.

Stats engine fubar. Perhaps if a joint effort was made to send money Mmmgood's way, maybe a new engine would be purchased and installed.

And the likelyhood of that happening......
