That's no problem. I waded in just on on the slim chance someone somewhere decided to file an abuse report to RIPE claiming they are propogating malware. That wouldn't have gone down too well

Re: Suspicious pm on forum
I've been getting this spam for the past 3 days or so and I tried to report it to someone at PowerVS but, they said they are over the servers and not the forums so we need to find out who is over the forums.
I used to have this problem when I had forums and I had to approve new members after the spammers started their crap. Usually they come from the same group of IP addresses and they fill out their accounts the same way. The visual verification helped more than anything. Maybe that can be made more tough to block some of these spammers.. They do have multiple accounts already and would be glad to forward the PM's I've received to what ever admin would like them.

The two about the PC may be legit. The one from the chick is obviously a scam and you should send it to me for investigation.Unsobering wrote:Last night I got 3 of these. 2 about my computer being infected and 1 from some chick that wants me.

yes the 2 about the pc will find tons of malware on your computer and for a fee of $29.99 it will download all of them to your pc.
I heard that the chick who sent the other pm is also "infected".
Re: Suspicious pm on forum
I've gotten messages from all of those guys. I have gotten 5 pm's from these fuckers, it's a bunch of spam if you click on the link and dl it downloads a bunch of spam to your computer. There latest attempt is telling me that if i don't get these viruses fixed there gonna report me to my internet service provider which is bull shit cause they can't detect whats on my computer in the first place.

I don't know what the problem is with all of you skeptics. It just asked me for my credit card info to verify that I'm 18, and it cleaned my computer right up! Wolf has never run smoother on my computer.

Over at codboards, I set it so that new members have to answer a simple question before they become registered. It seems to have stopped most of the spam bots.

I'm with you Mike. I went a step farther and included my bank's routing number. That way, if there are updates they can just automatically deduct their $$. It's only been a week and there have already been five updates! Now they are adding a new feature where you give them your social security number and they will pretend to be you. That way they can then intercept any and all viruses headed your way. Cool stuff!Killer Mike wrote:I don't know what the problem is with all of you skeptics.
