very true. everyone can shoot a panzer, not many can play the class well. especially in competition.

Ya. Obviously I don't know about competition, but I'd say panzing well is hard. The (beach) trench shot or any other one man kill is not too tough, sure. But being patient to get a few in a meaningful map position with one strategic shot and not take out your mates? Not easy.

Panzering on a 10v10, 15v15 or 20v20 is easy. You only need to use your brain when to shoot and dont bust your load on the first thing that walks by. Your bound to get multi-kills, unless your KMAN or MSB :D.

Being a flamer I think is harder. But I'm not talking about camping flamers who just sit behind a corner and let the area-affect damage take place. I'm talking about an attacking flamer that bull-rushs, and damages everyone. Seldom is it done effectively. Soldiers on this server have taken to defense more than offense. :(

Nubz, you suck at everything. :red:

Yeah, in all my years of playing I don't think I've ever seen an effective flamer.

The best flamer in the business was on last nite for one match......then left. SteveRogers.....haven't seen him in years, then one match last nite. Any old schooler should remember him.

You get effective flamers from time to time. Mostly they camp the top of the back stairs or at the top of the ladder coming up from the trenches. If they have the right support from a medic and an lt they can lock things down pretty tight. It's a very limited weapon on ff on servers though because theres a better than average chance that you are going to toast team-mates and yet it's not really cut out for roarming around outside.

This is a question that can never be answered because there is way, way too many variables. Raziel would be the player that many people might suggest, however in the end you can only be as good as your team is. I dont care how skilled you might be if your on an inferior team chances are you will get owned. Further more its important to distinguish between "best player" and "best designated kill ratio getter" If its competive play the only person that should be worried about their kill/ratio is the panzerfaut. I way rather have the medic on my team that has a negative kill ratio but revives like a motherfucker, thats what wins games. I recall an old warleague match I played with my old clan, where we dominated them on kills vs. deaths but they won 3 - 1 because of teamplay. Thats what makes RTCW one of the best games ever because it wasent about having the best kill ratio but the best team play. I would defintly say that when RTCW was still a popular game the old school clans were way more talented then todays clans. The really good players on ECG today that come to mind are players like Glockgoespop, Juvuntes, Booty, Bigfloppydonkydick, Twist, Pacos Gun, M@stery, Talbot, and Im leaving many others out that I cant recall right now. Ive gotten the better of them many times, and many times they have gotten the better of me. How can anyone pick the best from that? Not to mention what makes the best? If its best player, then I would think of the player that has a great understanding of the gameplay and is always in the right place at the right time eventhough that persons aim isent the greatest. If its best kill ratio then I would think of a really good panzerfaut. A really good panzerfaut can have a good spawn kill that takes out 3 - 5 players out of 6, for full spawn, however he can only do this if his/her team killed 3 - 5 players to send them to spawn in the first place. Bottom line is noone is the greatest RTCW player ever there is only good players doing the best they can against what they have to work with. Put all the best players out there and do a one vs one against each other even then ping makes a huge variable. I like the regular on ECG that goes by the name 150+ Ping, very good player that most might not reconize and who I get the better of most of the time, but he does have a 150+ ping and does very well considering his disadvantage. Best player out there? Who knows it could be this guy one day and someone else the next, there is only really good players that get the better of other players one day and then get bested on a different date IMO.

Good players do not have high KDR, high acc, most kills, most headshots. None of that shit matters. Best players are the ones that make the team what it is. Fast revives, loads of ammo and med packs, complimentary gibbing, eliminating an enemies route of attack, distracting enemies so team can complete objective, multipanz kills/multiairstrike kills, etc. The amount of ppl you kill means shit, but the more efficient you make your team operate, the better you are. hands down

Gibbing is so underrated. Honestly, I believe gibbing is the name of the game. What good is a kill if the player you killed is revived 3 seconds later? Gibbing and skulling players is incredibly important, and the key to winning.

I agree in most respects. only time i would disagree is in a comp match, where you might want to let them rot a bit so they have a chance at being long-spawned. But gibs are one of the most underrated parts of this game indeed.
