Larry King wrote:Source, Nigel, Remedy, and Parcher would roll you with a stock config and a one button mouse. None of those four cheat. I don't think it's even that you can't imagine that someone might actually be that good at the game, it's that you just need to believe you're being cheated to feel better about things.

Also, Jim is saying that he's put thousands of hours into getting better, and you're saying the same. I respectfully disagree. Just because you've spent thousands of hours playing doesn't mean you've spent thousands of hours getting better. You've spent thousands of hours playing. He spent his hours playing against and with good players. You can't even strafe jump for fuck's sake, a basic mechanic of the game. I've scrimmed with and against Jim and he knows what's going on in this game. You don't. You can get all uppity and offended if you want. I don't care. This is just the truth. I wish it was you going away and not Meyer. I bet a decent portion of the server feels the same. You cause more grief and nonsense than any of the players that you think cheat.

And really, dude, if you're this serious and upset about it you should either get better or change games. I think you'd be surprised who'd be willing to help you if you actually asked and didn't just think you were good because you can run the docs on beach.

this has been pointed out time and time again, and warpig refuses to acknowledge it. warpig thinks that because he has spent 10,000 hours on shrub servers that he can handle playing with osp players.

Hey, Meyer. Good luck to whatever you're doing. You were a cool person to play with.

No "78yo" casual player can compare to a 20yo gamer.

But, Meyer aint 78. No 78yo have that kind of language he been displaying on the server.

It's never good to lose a player in a game this old as most likely they will not be replaced. The main problem here, in my opinion, is most of you players. I, in an attempt to ensure the health of the server, will switch teams at the end of rounds and sometimes during. If numbers get uneven, I switch. If teams are stacked, I switch. If after switching, I feel the frustration of the team I'm on, ill shuffle but I usually switch first in an attempt to help and keep people from getting angry and just leaving the server.

In a new game, or not one as old as this one, I honestly see nothing wrong with destroying the opposing team and talking shit. But in a game this old and with the small number of players we have I would say we are a community. I'm not trying to say that we shouldn't be able to beat down an opponent and/or talk shit as these will always be a fun part of any game. What I'm saying is, as a community, in a game we all love and I'm sure want to live on, some small steps could be taken by all players, especially the "great" ones. Remember, with great power comes great responsibility. (sorry I couldn't resist)

Some of you think it is fun or funny to hold a lesser team on the beach. Some of you also like to be up by 4 players and not let a team plant. Some of you like to talk shit while all this is going on and laugh as people, already on the lesser or outnumbered team, leave the server. I've sat in spec on many occasions and watched a dominate team run the server dry, the whole time talking in team chat about how funny it is.

This, to me, is where the missing element of fun comes in. I believe there is a time and a place for everything but when these lopsided events occur you people need to show just a little reserve. If you make people mad enough and they are not having fun they will, IMO, quit for good and they will not be replaced.

All I ask is that everyone, especially you old osp players, try and keep teams even and somewhat fair. When they are not, does it really feel good to talk shit and/or have the mentality of a troll? It's not a challenge to beat a lesser skilled team by spawn camping them or holding them on the beach. Switch teams if they are lopsided on skill level. Switch teams if they are uneven. Sometimes, to ensure the game will be around for years to come, you just have to do the right thing. If you all don't understand where I'm coming from I fear you never will. The only thing that I can see killing this game off completely some day is lack of players.....

P.s. My mention of osp players is not placing blame. I believe with your all's skill level you have an easier chance at distributing skill level when it comes to lopsided teams.

Why do the really weak players here never hold any responsibility for the lopsided teams? Who wants to switch to a team with russian nazi, ss maria, ru-headshot, and such? Even if there is no alternative? The absence of RtCW is better than a concentration of players that cannot pull their own weight. Players that snipe all round, players that throw grenades through windows all round, players that team damage 10-20% every round, players that don't even play but chat all round, for the past 8 years! Meyer plays half the round, the rest of the time he is standing in a corner typing. Good teamwork! It's perfectly acceptable to be a waste-of-space here, why should anybody be responsible for carrying these wastes?

I know this all sounds mean but I've been drinking so whatever.

Nobody is gonna switch to the team where they get shot in the back by their teammate's venom all round long. Nobody wants to play with the guy who is an engineer for the whole round so they can spam nades and plant dumb dyno. Nobody wants to play with a guy who thinks a flame thrower is a good choice. Nobody wants to play with a LT who stands on sniper hill waiting for arty. Nobody wants to play with a guy who snipes all round. Nobody wants to play with somebody who can't kill any opponents. Nobody wants to play with a chatty kathy. Nobody wants to play with a guy who wastes the team panz every time he spawns at the allied flag. NOBODY WANTS TO PLAY WITH SHITTY PLAYERS.

If the best players are supposed to take some responsibility here then the worst players need to also.

I understand what your saying and your not being mean. But in the world you have just described, all the good players are on one team and all the "bad" are on the other and that is fun for the good players how? In most posts, when the good players talk about all the time they put into their configs and the hours of play they have invested in this game, why then, would they want to spend all that "hard work" on shitty players. All that time and hard work so you can camp a spawn. Doesnt make sense to me.

If you want a challenge, which is what i imagine everyone has wanted at some point, especially the good players, then switch and see what you got. I find it simple. But then again, im me.
