Lives on axis

Postby /vid_restart » Sat Nov 06, 2004 1:15 pm

Are you serious with 19 lives for axis? For such a big server that's too less. Some panzershots, some tk's and you're skulled. I thought the server is for fun. If I see skulls after 10 minutes I doubt that.

Axis should get 10 lives. Allies 20.

19 is plenty. Maybe you should be thankful for your 19 lives and watch out. Don't take so many risks. That should teach people to work as a team. Skulls are a reward for the other teams nice playing.

Risks are what makes the game fun. Going for the flag, trying to camp the spawn, running in the trenches with nades. You can't do anything now that is fun because you have to always be cautious of the lives left. It's not about having fun, it's about being "cautious". It makes the game too much work. It just makes gameplay frustrating and clustered. Everyone camps in the basement now to avoid dying. No one ever tries holding upper base (it's now an allied havon). When the setting was at 25 lives, you could bare to lose a life every minute without the worry of skulling. Now it's at 20, start at the beggining of the round, get panzerd in fb bunker, already down to 19. It's just too much work anymore.

i voted yes cause sense that rule the WR is camped a lot more than it used to be. other than that i really haven't too much of a problem with it.

I don't care but whatever it is; get the f out of the WR you candy-asses. Used to be you would hold the upper bunker- if you had to retreat -then stairs then the hallway / basement- now axis just run to the wr as soon as the siren goes off- allies can pretty stroll around and take piss down the stairs on the few axis fighters at the bottom. Now you can take a dump in the ducts and drop it into the WR and hit somebody.

They´ll camp in basement even if they had 40 lives. When I´m axis and see 15 guys camping in basement at minute 23:00, and I´m alone trying to hold the upper base, I join allies to skull those cowards.

Sometimes the teams are stacked (talent wise) and the axis players are forced to retreat to the warroom ! A few good axis players go solo to catch the allies off guard from behind .I have skulled doing just that, so I voted to increase the limit!

I'm more reluctant, and I've noticed others are too, to go for a questionable suicide revive. I used to try and revive even if there was nade sitting on top but now I tend to think of my lives first...:( . I hate being skulled and watching the rest of the game play out.

yeah, i normally just leave if i'm skulled. It just annoys me cause it won't let me hop into spec mode.

I still like taking a dump in the ducts and kiking down into the WR--------
