Anyone seen these pictures?

Postby Dune » Thu Jan 12, 2006 11:00 am

I'll hope it is not a repost (if so I'm sorry then). I've found these pictures on a forum. I'm not sure though if they are the real thing? These pictures should be sketches and /or ideas for RTCW2. I didn't find any official confirmation on that forum that these pictures are indeed produced by Activision.

Too bad that there is still no announcement or news about a possible production or release date for RTCW2 on the Acitivions site.

They made an XBOX360 version first, now they're going to port it to PC. It's sad to see PC taking a backseat, but I guess that is the future. I can see where game developers would love console over PCs: just one hardware platform to deal with. Must be a millions times easier than making a game that works well with a multitude of video cards and audio cards, etc.
If they ever do come out with it, I'll buy it. RTCW was one of the better single player games out there.

I personally think that the RTCW multiplayer is pretty swell too compared to other games in the same category (i.e. BF series etc........).

SP is not bad at all too and a great way to get used to the game, weapons, movements, etc

I plan on buying it if it comes out on PC. I never understood wat RTCW was about, but that it took place during WW2.

Some would say the PC version should come first. It's the least Splash Damage could do considering you RTCW zealots have kept their game alive for almost 5 years now. They've certainly sold far, far more units over the last 2 years than they would have with a 'normal' crowd that moves on the next big thing after 1-2 years.
Honestly, I think Splash Damage should have acknowledged the insane fidelity of the current RTWC's by giving them first dibs on the sequel.

Which one made the multiplayer RTCW, Nerve, ID, or Splash Damage?

I've not played another multiplayer as good. I like BF2 but it's not nearly as involving...

The netcode for RTCW is top notch. Very smooth, very lag free usually.
If I could consistently play in full servers of Blitzkrieg Forest, Tram, and Kung Fu Grip, I would probably still be playing it. I'm not a huge fan of Beach or Depot, and those are the only two that seem to have decently filled maps last I looked.
Also, I really don't like the mods where they have 'spies', enemies wearing your allies uniform.
