Request for Medics

Postby Al_Gore » Thu Feb 23, 2006 12:03 am

I get pretty choked up when I see someone get killed, so I run into the heat of the gun fight to revive you, and then I get killled in the process and then the medic I revive gets up and runs away or goes into the gunfight again without the revive back.

If someone sticks your neck out for you, the least you can do is revive them back before fighting or running away. It's common courtesy and annoys the crap out of me when I don't get revived back.

I agree gore, it happens to me about 50 times in two rounds, and the LT's are even worse, why give ammo when u can throw an airstrike to wipe out have your mates, the splash damage on those is insane

Personally I'd rather not be revived in the heat of a gunfight only tpo get shot in the back while unable to move. If you ask me there are too many guys running around without their guns out especially in the basement and on the backstairs. Don't get me wrong I generally go for the revive but only after I know I can keep them alive not just cost them another life.

One of my biggest pet peeves too.

But this is a never ending cycle the eventually, someone has to break. If I die, a teamate risks his life to revive me then dies in the process, then I risk my life to save him because he did it for me, then I die in the process, he gets up and does the same, etc. Meanwhile, the enemy stands there and unloads his gun and racks up 10 kills in 30 seconds.

It's not never ending. It's worked tons of times when people actually re-revive you.

There's no need for it though. If you just shoot the guy you can revive in perfect safety...

I see it way too often on ecgn where a team will get wiped out by a lone gunman because they are all walking around with no gun out trying to revive each other. You can't say absolutely that it's right to revive before shoot or the other way round it's a judgement you have to make based on the situation around you.

The problem is the Medics who do nothing more than have their paddles or bags out trying to get points.

They will revive you as many times as they can while you keep dying jsut to get points... Its annoying...

I usually play a medic and i have my gun out whenever i can.

I am always running out of ammo as well..

Oh yeah it's even more annoying on BF2 as you can't even tap out. On rtcw at least you can call it a day and make yourself unavailable for revives.

.

Except most of the time the medic gets wiped out. And so if I don't revive the guy, some idiot will say "Stupid Medic, why didn't you revive me." Which is what I think sometimes if I'm the one dead. Or if you revive the person and you get killed. then the medic gets killed and you don't get a re-revive.

Lmao if you were the only support I had to come back to I'd have tapped anyway. Now I'll just wait to the last second so you have no chance to save yourself :D
