banned from BFV #2

This is thread is a grievance and request for the ban to be lifted. It is not meant as flamebait or any other such nonsense. I was directed to ask in the forums by a Tech Support Manager at ECGN.

I was really sad last night to suddenly be dumped to the game GUI and see the message "Banned from Server".

It started with a helo map where player "dharmes" (or close to it) was running for a helo. What he did not see was the NVA behind him that about to get a knife kill. Here is the hard fact for me - Yes, it's true, in killing the NVA and insuring that the helo did not get hijacked, I did in fact kill dharmes from behind. I quickly typed "sorry for tk".

I am fully aware that this must have looked as though I was killing dharmes for the helo. This was not the case, but I did get the helo after this, picked up player DeathTrip, and took off. I was then kicked from the server, most likely killing DeathTrip in the crash.

When I returned, as politely as I could, I asked "admin" to please be sure of the difference between a malicious TK and an accident. I quickly explained that there was a real enemy. The admin admited to seeing the dead AK gear next to his own gear and said "I'm sorry if I made a mistake".

I also mentioned that I, and other people, take being kicked pretty personally.

2 maps later:
I'm flying the Mig, and I think my score was around 10/10/0. At that point, I was not aware of any TKs on my part, accidental or otherwise. Suddenly I was dropped to GUI and saw the message "Banned from Server"

If any admins could explain what happened, or might even have the ability to rectify this in any way, I would be much obliged.

The ban was an accident in an attempt to get a player with a Name Violation.

You were the unfortunate victim of an un-refreshed Remote Manager.
