New player, banned

Hi all,

I recently purchased RTCW off of steam as I lost my original disk years ago. Anyways, logged on to the server and got a message stating I was banned.

I have tried to log on a few times since, but still get the same message.

Seems strange that I am banned from a server I have never played on. Any ideas as to what may have happened, and if I can get unbanned so I can join you guys online?

Read some of this it might help. I am sure your GUID is set to a default that has been banned. So you need to make sure you steam GUID is in place and not the default.

Also, make sure you change your name if it happens to be WolfPlayer
