UN on Feb. 5th

Gen. Powell got a lot of press when he was outspoken in the administration for opposing the war. His switching sides in this debate speaks volumes, imo.
Of course, he'll just be labeled a war-monger and be demonized by the very press that had earlier thought he was brilliant and courageous.
It's really too bad that the US had to compromise vital intelligence sources just to appease those who want more evidence (even after they get the evidence they claim they want, they just want more).

I agree that it's a shame we had to show our hand so to speak. However, a lot of people out there (including me) needed some convincing. The evidence he showed was exactly what I needed to see and hear in order to be convinced.
One of the Frenchie leaders was quoted the other day as saying that nothing is worth going to war over. Idealism like that just turns my stomach.
-Powell linked Iraq to AQ and training of al-queda in poison expertise.
-Powell showed active mobile manufacturing of chemical/biological agents on the back of 18 cargo trucks
-Powell played two clips of Iraqi military officals talking about evacuating the area and not to use the term "Nerve Agent"
-Powell told of how biologica/chemical weapons were tested on Iraqi prisoners and that they would autopsy them while they were still dying.
-Powell showed how Iraq had bulldozed sites where chemical weapon manufacturing took place so that no traces of chemical/biological could be found.
-Powell showed that they have unmanned aircraft units with a range of 500km (Listed in the book of likes called a weapons declaration as 50km)
-Powell showed active pursuit of refined aluminum tubes. (Used for reactor) Pictures of confiscated tubes.
-Powell showed active weapon smuggling.
