For all you folks living in the path of Isabel - good luck. Hopefully she'll be more bark than bite.

Being from San Diego I don't have much experience with hurricanes, or any weather for that matter. (yeah I know the ground shakes a little out here):)

But I wish everyone the best of luck and hope that everyone gets through it safely.

Hah. Buli, just park it in the garage. It'll be safe there.

Thx! :) I am currently in Windsor, NC which puts me directly in the path :(. We are actually not too far from the predicted land fall. Hurricanes are very scary, as you know living in South Florida, Fargin. We have purchased supplies for the next several of days. I have been through hurricanes before, so I know what to expect. I am NOT looking forward to being in one again. :(

i know u were probably biting your nails as i was this time last week Mofo. i live 45 mins north of West Palm (Port Saint Lucie) i had been nervous about this hurricane until they said it wasnt coming our way this past weekend. of course, it was still a Cat 5 at that time.

all kinds of neat radars and such can be found here... i use this site everytime one of these storms develop. http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/index.shtml

good luck Wairudo Enjin. cya in about a week after the power comes back on.

I've been around a couple typhoons while in the Navy, but never anything on land... don't even get much in the way of T-storms where I live... just lots of rain after the end of Sept. until about May...

Good luck you east coasters... hope this is no Andrew...

The current prediction is that it'll make landfall somewhere near Atlantic Beach, NC. The brutal irony is that it will also reach NC only 15 mins or so after high tide. :(

Good luck Wairudo and others in its path - I'm sure we DC folks will be feeling it soon enough.

Good luck boys, tape up them windows and put on the steel shutters. Have your floaties ready just in case. Living on the south coast, Ive been through a hurricane and a couple of near misses, pretty damn scary.

I'm State College, PA which is like in the exact center of the state which is also in the exact center of the path of the hurricane. Thankfully, though, I'm far inland, so it'll probably just be some really hard rain with faster than usual winds.
