What's the best way to clean an LCD screen?

Off topic, but don't go too far overboard - after all, we are watching...heh.

Use a pressure washer... with acetone... or if all else fails, a hammer and chisel....

Shoot. And to think I'd been using a belt sander all this time.

Seriously, I use a small bottle of eyeglasses cleaner and a kleenex. I'm sure it's not the recommended cleaning method, but I've noticed no ill effects, and it works pretty well.

Bah, I dont care how I clean mine. I have the Product Service Plan from Best Buy. If ANYTHING happens, its going right back to the store. This model is no longer available, so ill get the step up ;)

Nothing abrasive, nothing alcohol based, etc. Ideally, you get some kinda of static free cleaner, and use a soft wipe, no lint cloth. Best buy sells some stuff for the job, so do alot of other electronics retailers.....I don't own one so I couldn't tell you what I personally use....

End of story, and buy both the cloths they suggest.

I use it on my 2 Dell 21" LCD's and Dell Laptop LCD and love it!

no alcohol?!?....why not i have been using alcohol for ever..main reason because i smoke and rubbing alcohol cuts the smoke residue in a snap...i use alcohol on alll my comp and electronic equipment...its non reactive and dries instantly.
I have not failed...I have just found 10,000 ways that don't work.

I just spray windex on a SOFT cloth, let it absorb, then GENTLY wipe the screen. Been doing that for over a year and it still looks like it just came out of the box.
