Problems setting up RAID 0
I heard Bullhead had a RAID setup so I asked him to help me get mine going. After batting things back and forth with PM's and not much getting anywhere, he suggested I ask a few of the better hardware guru's that post here for some support. So I'll bounce this off you'all and if you have any suggestions I would be mighty pleased
My setup: ASUS A7N8X Deluxe Rev 1.04 (not 2) with Win XP Pro. I have not updated my Mobo bios since board was bought, oh two years ago or so. One 120GB ATA133 HDD.
So I see this great deal (okay pretty good deal) at NewEgg for a couple of WD Raptor 74GB SATA HDD's and I decide it's time. Check BIOS to be sure there is nothing there to change. I know I have to change boot order at some point to allow boot to my SATA, but have not changed that yet. Go into RAID Bios on boot up, follow simple instructions to set a RAID 0 configuration with 16k clusters and get the following edit when trying to save and exit. "Not enough single drives to setup RAID 0 configuration". Both drives are on their own SATA connector to SATA 1 and SATA 2 posts on the MOBO.

I carry twenty-three great wounds all got in battle. Seventy-five men have I killed with my own hands in battle. I scatter, I burn my enemies' tents. I take away their flocks and herds. The Turks pay me a golden treasure, yet I am poor! Because *I* am a river to my people!

Make sure to update the BIOS. I had a problem where my Raptor's weren't being seen and I updated the BIOS. Worked from there. However, you really should have gotten the Deluxe Revision 2.0.
Also, make sure that you have an existing hard drive in the computer already (should be an IDE with Windows installed). You'll most likely have to install the RAID controller drivers too.

Thx guy's. Going to update my BIOS and see what happens. you know the old addage: "Don't fix what ain't broken".. Which is why I'm still running an older version of CAT drivers for instance. My gaming computer works like a charm, why chance it. But, sometimes you have to take some risks. Ask that good looking babe for a dance.
