Best pre-built gaming system money can buy

Wed Sep 24, 2003 2:24 pm

I"m strongly against buying pre-built systems, but I have to admit that if I had the money I would definitely buy this beast...

This is especially interesting:

It is the first Super-BIOS™ (IBPT) and PuRam™ Technology featured personal computer configurable WITHOUT a System Hard Drive with all operating system and program files permanently sitting a on a Flash RamDisk. It operates at the speed of the maximum available memory bandwidth up to 8.0GB/s and is capable of over 150,000 I/O requests per second, with an average of 0.0% CPU utilization. No Hard Disk design, not even 15.000RPM SCSI devices in multiple RAID cofigurations can come close to providing a fraction of the real-world performance of PuRam™ Technology.

Jaysus Crist! That thing is wet dream come true. Now do you think you could spot me the cash to pick one up? :D :D :D

Good GAWD!!

That is crazy... a great idea though, to put the OS on a flash disk like that... simple solutions are always the best...

I dunno about the 7700 shekel price though... another couple of years and I might upgrade...

Holy shnitzals! That thing's a damn beast!

Bit too expensive for me I'm afraid...maybe in a few years when this type of thing becomes common

I just noticed that they have different versions, and you can customize your own to fit what you need. The gamer version starts at 4 grand.:rotflmao:

$4000? It would be MUCH cheaper to purchase 4 $600 LCD's and like them up in a row.

no I was talking about their different systems, not their screens.

just to have the PuRam drive in your system is a $5000 option right off the bat. I figure you could easily spend $20,000 on one of their systems if you decided to arm it to the teeth. Just makes me wish that I was rich:rotflmao:

$4000 aint even a start.....if you were to max one of these out it would easily be a $50,000 box.
That monitor is $17,500!!!!!!!

I do not see this company staying afloat unless they start offering more practicle systems. Basicly, they need to start paring Canterwood boards, with a WD special edition HD, good ram, verying P4's, assortments of CD/DVD/RW drive and slap it into that vapo-case with that nice LCD display in the front. Then, of course, start offering AMD based systems, too. Keep what they have as their ultra high end, made to order, systems.
