Iran is one of the major sponsors of state terror and I personally don't want to go to war in another Mid-East Arab nation.

I have long contended (since the late 80's) that the newer generations in Iran are desiring a change and doing what they can to achieve it.

Hopefully this is a step towards an Iran that changes itself into a better place.

Hopefully Iran's government will have a more Pro-Western stance in the future and make an active effort to end all terrorist cells opperating in that country.

Well with the internet more of these isolated countries are seeing how the more modern countries live and that's loosing the old sector's grip on them.

It's surprisisng that Khatami has survived that long while opposing the religious conservatives. That he, and other parliament members, can go this far is a good sign for democracy in Iran. There will be more infighting but the trend is irreversible.
