Anti-Aliasing certain games

I have a ATI 9600XT card and I was wondering if there was a way I could enable Antialiasing for certain games. I have a couple that look AWESOME with antialiasing but I don't want to go through the hassle of shutting it off everytime I want to play a game that cant run it I.E Battlefield 1942.


I remember my old GeForce 4 Ti4200 had an option similar to that.

It comes with the omega drives and thats about all I know of it.

there is no option for that. hopefully it'll be included in a driver release one of these times.

I have the same problem as you-I have to keep going into the ATI control panel and changing it for each game.

to make it a lot easier and faster, download a program called 'rtool' http://www.3dcenter.de/downloads/rtool.php

just put a shortcut on your desktop. it allows you to change AA and AF in a second, rather than going into display properties, clicking all the tabs, blah blah

I would go with shockwave though since the link I provided isn't working and he probably knows his stuff a lil' better than I do.

I keep my settings at 2x AA, and 8x FSAA, Texture level on quality, miplevel on high quality... the only game i gotta turn off AA for is BF: V... those settings are considered optimal by some.

radlinker is great, awesome tool, and nice overclock util built in. I've used it with every ATI card I've had. You can create custom shortcuts for each game, each with different vid settings (AA, AF, mipmap detail, etc). Blends in nicely with the ATI CP as well......
