Lest we not speak of these things for our own countrymen in America would label us bigots and haters. We should not condemn those that celebrated as my friends family was informed of his death on flight 11.
I mention this because it's hard to see outside the box. I mention this because we in America are so harsh and are so quick to verbally attack and dismantle our own government. These same people feel pity for others that butcher and kill the innocent in the name of a god.
I don't want to hate anyone, I want peace. However I fear they want to see me die and that they are being taught that I as a described infidel along with my children should be lashed to a tree and beaten to death for merely not being a Muslim.
They scare me.
The first site contains some very hard material to view so I recommend it's viewed with some caution.

In the next two clips the blind hatred and ignorance is completely overwhelming.

I hope I've offended no one with this and ask that the replies stay non-personal and open minded.

Unfortunately, in this day and age of political correctness, it's not acceptable to admit that we are despised by a culture who teaches their children that we're sub-humans and deserve to die because we don't believe what they believe.
It is equivalent to Nazi Germany. They establish totalitarian governments based on religious doctrine, and skew it in order to wage war. Typical kleptocratic policy.
I wouldn't go calling Islam itself an evil religion - there are plenty of references to participating in violence in the Bible as well as the Talmot in order to "protect" god. Plenty of wars have been waged and millions of people have died in the names of various gods, so all religions are to blame for deaths at one point or another.
Not to say this is not an idealogical battle. It is. Children are indoctrinated to believe that because they are muslim, it is the will of their god that they destroy anything and anyone that is not.
Allowing Islamic fundamentalist states to exist is equivalent to letting Nazis set up shop again somewhere, and in my opinion, much worse.
There is no easy solution to this problem, and denial will only lead to defeat.

I agree, and I don't know if I referenced the Muslim religion as evil. In my opinion I think all organized religions have an agenda. I think we can obtain and retain our faith without someone directing us or telling us what to do or think.
Thanks for the response and thoughts.

I've been waiting to find videos like that for awhile. I can't stand the purely emotional arguments of protesters and I think they, for the most part, were completely baseless. However I can't help but wonder if the videos were just edited conveniently to ignore some good points that may have been made. I know there was the guy in the second video who was a ton more rational than the rest, but I'm just a little skeptical as to whether that's the makeup of everyone who was opposed to the war.

Haven't we done worse in using the name Christianity as our weapon. Witch burning. Let me bash my kids skulls in and claim GOD asked me to do it. Religion is the biggest mess ever. It would be hippocratic to say any other religion is baseless or a platform to wage war or whatever. No amount of dialouge will fix the mess of religion.

The new 10 commandments.
1) Thou shalt not covet they neighbors wife, because he's bigger than you.
10) Thou shalt not kill, unless the person you're killing worships a different invisible man than you.

Oh I'm sure there were some intelligent responses. It's kinda funny though to listen to the responses of some people that really have zero understanding of the protest they're taking a part in. It's downright humorous.

I understand wholeheartedly the problems with organized religion and the horrible things that were done by people affiliated with certain organized religions.
What I find disturbing as I mentioned above is the gall of people to call our president a Nazi and then to muster ever ounce of sympathy for the people that hang a woman from a bridge for not covering her face properly.
To be honest I think most protesters that bash our country and our leaders instead of being part of the solution are simply simple people that follow others around them and just restate what they've been told.
Yes war is not the answer, but in the face of not only blind hatred but the brutal murder of innocent people (ours and others) what do we do? How do we change all the mindless brutality?

Can I get a roger that to number 10. Just say that line over a few times to yourself. An invisible man that dicates right from wrong. Incredible.
I have a magic 8-ball that I listen to. It is the 8-ball GOD. Let me shake it while I ask a question.
Should I kill my mother.
8-ball GOD says
"maybe"

Without a doubt. Knee-jerk protestors tick-me off more than anything (hmm, *writes that down for the other thread*). After the war had started, the local newspaper here published an article about some of the protests and there was this nice tidbit (paraphrased, of course):
The most striking message of the day, however, was not the signs that read "No blood for oil," but the simple fact that those very same signs were pulled out of the back of the protesters' SUVs.

A wrong is a wrong wether committed by an individual, state, or religion.
Has christianity done wrong in the past? Damn right they have. Is that the issue here? Hell no. Blind fanatical hatred is a problem wether you cloak it in religion, statehood, or insanity.
Maybe I am a little older or just a little more ornery but I don't have a problem with hating people who hate me right back. I don't go out of my way to look down on anyone due to race, color, or creed but when they actively promulgate a campaign of hatred and destruction against me and mine then I can easily say F$#& You! right back at em. I can also be mature enough to realize that not all of them feel that way.
I don't need to "recognize their culture", I don't need to be "diverse" and "celebrate their diversity", I don't even have to like them (whomever they be).
The problem with these types of people is that it is more important to them that their side be right and the other side be proven wrong. It evidently doesn't matter that an entire culture is being warped by a fanatical element within it to hate and covet ours. Its more important that their side win the next election, oh yeah, and save the trees. There's that kind of stupidity on both sides of the political aisle and those of us who look beyond what we would consider such petty boundaries sit here and go WTF? HELLO! There's some important shit going on here!
Hell in a handbasket boys, Hell in a handbasket.

Ya know Colonel I hear ya. There are days when I think that one side or someone somewhere has to put the gun down.
Then there are days when I want to repay the hatred with hatred.
Two things really bother me here.
1. We give more to the world than anyone PERIOD! No one gives back to the world like we do. Not even close. We allow 100's of thousands of people in here to benefit from our country's prosperity, and how are we thanked? They bad mouth us while they stand in line at Market Basket with food stamps from 5 different names they use. I owned a house in a city that was about 90% Spanish and let me tell I couldn't leave the yard. Hell now that I think about about 50 kids each day couldn't leave my yard either, except for the time they left with my TV among other things.
This really boils my blood. Show some respect and thanks for the good things that are shared with you or get the hell out.
2. The second is American citizens bad mouthing our government. Ya know there are proper ways to protest and make a point to try to enact some change. Calling your leaders Hitler isn't one of them. Show some fking respect. Watching those protester videos made me want to move to Canada.
Where's the common sense in the Middle East? They kill each others children cause God said to. Where's the common sense in the west? We call our leaders vile things and never protest with pictures of Yassar Arafat. Why?
I think it's because the human race needs conflict. I really do. I think without it we would be bored. I think we thrive on antagonism just to keep ourselves entertained. Am I wrong?
