My point was that none of these reports knows what is really being exchanged between the CIA and president. There is a VERY short list of who is privy to that information.

The press isn't on it. The congress isn't on it.

Actually, Congress is on the proverbial "list." More specifically, the House and Senate Intelligence Committees are.

Congress receives intelligence reports, but I didn't think that they see the president's daily intelligence information, since no one in congress has a need to know this information, unless you count the VP as part of congress... (I bet Cheney sees about as much as Bush in these areas... but I don't claim to know for sure...)

This is probably the most brilliant post that I have seen on this thread.

oh shit I can't pass this one up...

He also had a Republican dominatd house and Senate for the majority of his term.... Japan economy was faltering.....etc etc. Americans give the president too credit regarding his influence on the economy. (I am NOT saying he did a bad job or that Bush is doing a good one... just highlighting a common American political flaw).

Well, the House and Senate Intel. Committees actually get their own daily reports from the various agencies - I'm sure it's not the same exact report that the President gets, but it's substantively similar enough to be.

So, Bush himself saying it was a mistake does not count for anything at all, huh?

Guess this is my last post on this subject. If you are so blind that when bush himself says it was a mistake, and that does not count for anything, then this arguement is obviously going no where.

Fine with me. You seem to aggressively not listen, so it's difficult to have a discussion. I never said that Bush was Mother Theresa or the smartest man on Earth.

Study English since it is not your stong suit(apparently).

I hate to nitpick, but should you say that to anyone, given your spelling 'skills'?

You seem to have more fun calling people stupid, blind, etc.
Actually reading what people have to say might get in the way of that. Good day.

HA! Thanks. I love that picture; it captures the mood perfectly.

This thread needs to be polluted with nonsense (other than political;) ).

1)This is the internet, I do not check what I type for spelling. I type fast so words get misspelled and I do not give two craps about it. At the family business, it gets checked. If I need to go learn about history(of which i am an amature historian) for something i did not say, then he needs to learn how to read English. If you want to get picky, it is 'skills?' THe abreviation goes insdie the quotations. But I do not care, as you are not saying I said something i didn't say, then telling me to learn about history(again, something I do in my spare time and when I was in college).

2) Blind was used as you are blind to anything but your parties beleif. Which is clearly true. You claim that Bush was right when he added that to the speech because british Intelligence says so, even though Bush says it was a mistake. That is blind loyality, Republican, anythign else is wrong. That is clearly the way you see it. In no way is 'blind' an insult.

Also i did not call anyone stupid that I can remember. I already defined what ignorant means, and it is not stupid. It means you do not know something due to not being taught it or learning it from experience.

I do not live in the inner city. I am ignorant to what it is like to live in the inner city. It does not mean I am stupid to what it is like to live in the inner city.

Thanks for the english lesson; I've been wondering about that apostrophe thing.

I don't recall ever saying Bush was right. I asked why is it such a big deal if Britain stands by it? Pretty simple. If you can quote me saying "Bush was right about Uranium," then I'll rescind my statement. I already explained how I'm not a blind loyalist (once again you seem to have not actually read what I wrote), but if you need another lesson...I think Bush was a dunderhead for ever uttering the word "mistake" with regards to this whole flap; he gave opponents ammo for something that's a non-issue, in my opinion. That's stupid.

But I'll vote for him anyway, unless something better comes along (not likely, it sure isn't Hillary); I have to make a judgement: I think the good outweighs the bad. If that makes me a blind loyalist, so be it.

None of this matters, I'm sure. This won't be read and there'll just be another response that indicated that nothing I wrote was paid any attention.

Which reminds me, I went back to your earlier posts in this thread. Interesting how you say you're neither a Dem or a Republican. Where's your criticism of Democratic leaders in all this?
