but you should still post a dslreport ;)

many companies 'advertise' speeds, but the customer never actually gets them.

I FIGURED I SHOULD SHOW YOU ALL MY GREAT OFFICE SPEEDS FROM ROAD RUNNER IN MAINE. DOWNLOADS ARE SWEET HERE. WE HAVE A BUSINESS ACCT. I HAVE DONE TESTS THAT PUT US ABOVE 8000 FOR DOWNLOADS BEFORE. FYI THIS RUNS US 80.00 PER MONTH.

Well being on my router subjects me to much lower speeds than what I get off the router. It's a conflict with the router and modem I have. However, off the router I'm able to max out my connection.

If your getting alot slower speeds on your router then off, might want to check to make sure your using the same settings (i.e. auto-negotiation or auto-detect for xp, full-duplex etc...) make sure both your router and your computer are using the same.

It's nothing like that. From what I've read on forums, the SB4100/4200 have problems with the Linksys BEFSR41 router in terms of throughput. Has to do with something about the WAN port on the router slowing it down.
