And for my favorite drummer, i would have to say jon bonham from Led zeppelin. Also the guy from Rush is very good but i cant think of his name right now.

Dogg, the drummer from Rush is Neil Peart.... the one I said was my favorite in my previous post.

I think my $0.02 are worth this thread. I'm going with Chet Atkins for guitar. Not only is he a mean motherfucker; but he played EVERYTHING. To me, that's what makes a good guitarist, not just one or two songs that make up a fine selling album. And sadly enough kids, it's not always sales and noteriety that make one good. On the drumming end of it I think I'll have to give it to Buddy Rich hands down. This man taught himself, never practiced, and played into his late 70's. Shit, if that ain't tough enough for ya, I don't know what is. Bukkake, right on with the comment on Dean.

Your rite Doggy but the majority of the bands did.........I'll take the spandex over those British one hit wonder friggin bands of the 80's anyday........Just think bout turnin MTV on, and every God forsakin day we as America's youth, we're subject to the abuse of Men Without Hats and their classic "We can Dance if We Want Too"(not sure of the actual title, but that verse still screeches in my brain), or that 99 Luft fuckin Balloons, Tears for Godamn Fears, you dont know how lucky you are.......Thats why I made damn sure the 1st time I got laid I took the radio DJ out of the mix and had Dazed and Confused quietly playin in the background......Shit I still gert hard when I hear it! But then again, that was yesterday :D

Eddie Van Halen or Yngwie Malmsteen.
For speed and technique, I would say Yngwie, but it's hard to listen to him for very long. It sorta wears on you after 5 mins.
For all-around feel, Eddie is great, and you can listen to him and enjoy it.

Stevie Ray Vaughn, deserves some attention here. Homey died way too early. I have not heard alot of his stuff, but there is no doubt that he could play the strings off of damned near anythying. That being said I am gonna go with "other" and pick a guy that may not be the greatest, but I sure have loved the music he has put out over the decades. Mark Knopfler of Dire Straights.

I am ALL over the Neil Peart as my fave drummer. Dude doesn't need to be showy while playing, the way he plays is enough for me. He is a huge reason for my Rush collection being humongous

Why is it Aim i get the feeling you are following my posts around just so you can see what I'm gonna say next..........Your the type of guy that stops on the highway to see the accident, just hoping to get a glimpse of some poor bastard that got the steering wheel shoved down his throat and the brake pedal pushed up his ass.....You love it, and as always I will try to get into as many accidents as possible so you can be entertained....you sick freak:D

doom, you read my mind about stevie ray, i completely forgot about him. I also want to mention B.B. king. Although blues isnt my style, i do recognize where all of the music that i do listen to originated from.
