Off topic, but don't go too far overboard - after all, we are watching...heh.

Thats the one thing keeping me from using it, I heard somebody on TS talking about how map loads are very harsh with it.

It takes me forever to load maps anyways so I didn't really notice.

notice a very slight delay in map load, but the functionality outweighs the delay

True

But everyone loves the first spawn and there's a nice juicy tiger waiting for you. With TSO, the APC is halfway across the map by the time I load.

I have a 2.4g with 512mb rambus. Maybe more memory would help. Anybody got any pc1066 they want to get rid of?

?tahw yas

Major Fatty alt-tab out and checkout how much memory the TSO process is using with the task manager after you've loaded up a level.

If anyone mails you memory, I'll be sure to intercept it and put it in my PC, since you never check the mailbox anyway!

To anyone who is paying attention to this prog, give us a heads up when this thing moves out of beta. My thanks in advance to the kind soul who does this.

That could be your problem . . . try swapping the RAM and Processor on your motherboard.

I know most of you can run it OK but I have a problem with TSO and am baffled because my computer is a pretty common config. (radeon 9800pro 128, abit Abit NF7--SV2 MB, 1gig ram, amd 2500+ barton, windows xp pro)

When I attempt to go to the ingame browser I get instead a aeries of gray rectangles. my only option is to bring up the windows task manager to end bf1942

Now if I bypass the browser by connecting directly to the server it seems to work fine.

Another odd characteristic is that when the level changes I see only a black screen until the level loads, then I see briefly the load screen with the progress bar already at 100%. Do you other TSO users change levels normally, seeing the normal loadscreen with the moving progress bar?

*bump* Just because I love this prog.

The only thing I don't like, is this:

When I first start it up, then go to connect to a server, it loads the map SOOOO SLOOOOWWW. It has something to do with TSO not knowing what channel you're in. If someone has said something, or you have transmitted, it will know and display the correct channel you're in and bf maps will load at their normal quick speeds. Otherwise I have to wait like 5 minutes for the map to load.

Does that mean all you need to do is transmit a "hey" through TS and the map loads at normal speed?
