what do you mean? ...i just had to downlaod it, i normally dont use MSN, if you have AIM shockwave..id rather use that

everytime i try to sign in it says theres a newer version,..and when i go to downlaod it says i already ahve it..uhh i hate microsoft

are you sure you are logged into msn? i still can't add you. here, go to 'contacts' at the top, add a contact, select by email address, then type [email]XX[/email] and hit next

ok forget about it. on the left hand side of the screen click on ECGN CHAT, and install whatever it asks you to. then at the bottom right of the caht box, chagne your name to paul and hit enter

me and shock got it fixed so you cna close this thread major thanks to Shock who spent about an hour and a half helping me re-format

yall both need a good Patrioning program....PartionMagic is what i use...to clean the HDD off and get it set to install a OS(ME was one of the worst ever BTW)...Partion Magic can be run from the cd with no OS currently installed and will give you several options that the XP install will not....

2 ways you can format the drive: go to the the hard drive manufacturer's site and download their software for doing this. Maxtor drives use Maxblast.
go to http://www.bootdisk.com and download the file of the OS u want to install(XP i hope, ME is crap). extract files to a floppy. reboot with floppy in. then fdisk and format from that. instructions on exactly how to do that can be found all over the web. u can do all of this from a bootable cd(like XP) also. just get to command prompt.

I have the same problem: I had Millenium, tried to install XP but aborted it in the middle of the installation and re installed Me (without reformatting, did not wanna loose my HDD infos) and I now have the f.. possibility to boot with XP or with Me I don(t try XP, it freezes my machine... normal, no XP installed...)
does someone know which file I must modify to 'delete' this choice?
I checked config.sys, autoexec.bat but these files are now almost useless regarding their content...
