Again, Edogg, what you posted with Christianity does not 'disprove' anything. You do not understand what he was saying with 'fear' and the eventual abuse of power.
Why would you even bother posting that second paragraph? That extremely generalized paragraphis going to piss off numerous people, and to be honest, it just reeks of a bible thumper looking for a low blow(I.E. you do not believe in my God, or any God, then you are a heathen beast with no morals, etc).
This is why religion and politics should be kept out of forums.

I speak my mind no matter what, you guys should know that by now. That isnt going to change. To be honest I was trying to not ruffle too many feathers in this thread. I was going leave it at my first post and be done with it. But Havoc's post was a mean spirited stab at religion. If he didnt want this thread to go in that direction, then he shouldnt have posted it.
I have no regrets about what I said. What I said was true. It wasnt a total generalization because I was talking about people I know in real life, some of whom I happen to be good friends with. Others are family members.

Most People I know that knock religion are people who dont like rules of morality. They just like doing whatever makes them feel good without any spiritual consequences. They think religion is just there to make them feel bad and control their life. That, along with other things, makes it easy for them to dismiss religion and deny existance of a God and an afterlife.
That is a serious close minded statement. People that might knock ORGANIZED religion (not that I did) prolly do it because they are tired of having it driven down there fking throats.
