Wow, all were right on, but if that last one doesn't hit you and make you think. you must be a liberal, (they have nothing to do but bitch and look for someone to take care of them, IE...the government).

You just gotta love France.....Is it true that the men in France have their balls cut off at birth?

Wed Jan 29, 2003 11:03 pm

Cid, while it's true that China did not get involved in the Vietnam conflict, do recall that they were very involved the last time we fought a war with Korea. It's one of their proudest moments; pushing us back to the parallel and all that. I would hope that they wouldn't jump in this time but I would not be surprised at all if they did.

You're right about Russia, I don't see them siding militarily with N. Korea under any circumstances.

It is true that the N. Korean people are starving, however their military is still a force to be reckoned with. Screwy priorities I know.

Some of the French are OK. But the Jacques Chirac party is in control now and that party is in my mind analogous to the Vichy Regime that conspired with the Nazi's. They are very skillful politicains in swaying opinion.

Just to point out. The type of leadership Bush is dislplaying right now is what I call statesmanship. A statesman isnt afraid to go against public opinion when defending or upholding certain freedoms, whereas a politicain consults public opinion polls to stay afloat.

Cid, read the link you posted. Interesting stuff indeed. It does bring a couple questions to mind though. The first being: why does anyone care what France thinks? They have no business being on a security council. The only time they take action is if bombs are actually going off within their own borders. And the only action they take is raise the white flag and call for help.

The second question is what happened to Germany? Such a proud military history and now look at them. If you ever find yourself siding with France on an issue, you know it's time to re-evaluate your position. What gives?

That said, the rest of Europe must finally have gotten the intel that they wanted. Good to see them behind us.

Hey, thanks I think, but please dont get the idea I sided with France?

My point in posting was to point out what lamers the French and German politicians are.

Cid, sorry but I think my last post was a little ambiguous. When I said "if you ever find yourself siding with France...", the "you" in that sentence was Germany. I was trying (in my own confusing way) to agree with you as to what idiots the French and Germans are being.

breaking news.. There are still some countries that will not cowel and appease terrorists and dictators.

That's great. If the U.N. is so impotent, what is the problem with a "coalition of the willing"?
The problem is that the appeasers keep raising the bar -- do this, do that...now do this...oh wait, here's some more demands..........ok, now that you've done all that...do this, do that..........and so on.

I think their biggest fear is that the U.S. will be successful --
And that the U.S. won't be all nazi-imperialistic --
And that the U.S. will rebuild the country and make it prosperous --
And that the formerly subjugated people will thank us for it --

In short, they don't want to be wrong about the 'evil, imperialistic, aggressive United States' and it's 'power mad President Bush.'

Europe was ripe for the taking after WWII. We could have owned much of the Far East. Hell, we could have ruled the world through more violent conquest. We had the most powerful weapon ever known to man.

But what did the U.S. do? Oh, just fought some more to keep people from falling under a brutal Soviet tyranny, defended helpless countries against aggressive neighbors, etc. No big deal.

Hey thanks Wick:P
I like to think the U.S. is a powerful but benevolent country too.

 What? How did any of that make me sound liberal?:D

China wouldn't go to war with us over N. Korea. How could they, we are their #2 customer in terms of trade, just a hair back of Japan. Wouldn't really make business sense.

Wow. Putting 'Michael Moore' and 'facts' in the same sentence is a stretch. If anything it's completely laughable.
I'm a proud, responsible gun owner. I don't get an uncontrollable urge to kill when I'm around my guns (insert Bukkake joke). The way some of those gun-control wussies think, I should've killed my classmates back in school; Some tried to pick on me and my dad owned a couple of guns. Why didn't I kill them all?

The bigger issue: why can we not protect ourselves with guns, while those big names who preach against it have armed guards? $$$$$$ on a human life - I thought wussy liberals were suppose to "care" about the common people....

I'm former military (albeit Nat'l Guard - I still worked my ass off (field artillery - kick ass)). Never went to war. Clinton pissed us off royally. He was blatantly "Wag the Dog."
Having a Commander-in-Chief that actually RESPONDS to threats is what military personnel want. They don't want someone interested in making headlines over less desirable headlines.

It's too bad there are so many pussies living in the greatest country in the history of the world. No sense of history, duty, honor, or patriotism.
Everybody else gets a pass, but if the U.S. makes a mistake it's the new worst mistake ever. Forget about all the countless things done right.

If the draft were reinstated I doubt I'd be called up. But I'd go back to my old unit in a heartbeat. I'm not going to sit by while there's a draft and not put my experience to use. I would be leaving behind my wife, family and friends. It's called SACRIFICE. The pussies can run and hide all they want. At least there are still those of use willing to fight for your right to be an uninformed loser.

So, pussies...what do we do if a nuclear device detonates in one of our major cities? Consult France?

I probably made no friends with this post...too bad.

:tard: :flame:

Well said Doug. Maybe the photo Bukkake attached of the animal cruelty will get the pinkos on the board riled up. I'm sure animal rights is something Tool "believes in."
