There ya go Joe. Move back to the 50, start paying FIT again, and then buy a house asap cause its one of few tax shelters you get.

Oh yeah, one more thing, "Mama said credit cards is the devil." :D
"Well, we're not just gonna let you walk out of here."
"Who's we sucka!?"
"Smith and Wesson and me."

I'm sure as hell happy with any tax cuts! My wife and I didn't buy a muffler with our "pathetic" rebate checks. We used them to take a freakin' vacation. A very nice, relaxing one at that.

I was pretty sure that you didn't have to pay federal income tax. What are the P.R. rates like? As far as what you can do now, I am at a loss. You are able to contribute to your IRA retroactively? What about a 401(k)?

In answer to the other question: I am definitely happy with the cuts, but I still pay way too much, in my opinion. I am single, and haven't bought a house yet so they really soak me. I believe they've been withholding plenty from me, and that I only owe a couple hundred extra this year. Texas is also one of the few great states remaining without a state income tax.

I'm not sure what the rates are as my friend (certified accountant over here) did the paper work for me he was saying I have until april 15 to open IRA, as for 401k I have started a new one over here so there is basicly nothing in the account...just when I thought I was getting ahead I get smacked back down....Hopefully I will buy a house this year The one I planed on buying won't be finished until next year so i'm going to look into buying one that somone droppedout on(which are already or almost finished)

Been there done that.

Married, 2x good incomes, no house = IRS after you with a sand covered broomstick.
