No, no it's not. At least not anymore. It was good when it first came out, but it' so behind the times nowadays that it might have trouble getting a foothold with the more discerning PC gaming crowd.

While you do have a good point, think of the multiplayer aspect.

Look at Counter-Strike! Been out for 6 years, and is still the number 1 online game. Just because the game doesn't have the highest quality graphics doesn't mean it will have trouble selling.

Im hopeful for this one.

Also, this game was released today, but not all stores have it. I have heard rumors of it being available Thursday.

Ahhh, but BF1942 has displaced Counterstrike as the top multiplayer game. Now Halo will have to topple either of the games, and that would be a feet indeed.

Counterstrike/HLDS is still the #1 online game in terms of player counts.

GameStop around here has five, so they are out there. Not sure if it will ever out do BF but I think it will out perform CS. BF will be a force for years due to the MOD aspect. Even ET has seen a few new maps already. CS has so many people playing because of the cheating aspect. 15 year olds love to cheat and win. But back to BF, when you bore with one game a new MOD comes out to tweak your interest. Look now, there are at least a dozen nice looking MODS coming out for BF.

I just picked it up at my local Best Buy and it was $39, not $49 like everywhere else.

Counter-Strike is by far the most popular online FPS ever. Period. It still rules the roost. It's simplicity of play and not all that demanding graphics engine has kept it going strong. I prefer BF in every aspect but the numbers don't lie. I think BF will be a strong player for years to come and maybe it will eventually topple CS but as far as today goes. It's not top dog. And Halo, while intriguing and certainly a good game, has nothing extraordinary going for it to even speculate that it will be more popular than CS or BF. It's another shooter and we have seen plenty of those come around. It needs to redefine some aspect of multiplayer gaming if it's even going to stand a chance of seperating itself enough to make a dent in the "discerning" public's mind.

While I like PF a lot more than CouterStike, CS still have nearly 10 times the number of players online at any given day.
