What do you think about oil-terrorism link?
SUVs support terrorism?
Tax cuts for SUV? (Bush profiteering)

I'm not even really sure what terrorism is anymore.

This subject is a pet peeve of mine. I just don't understand the use of SUVs besides from the obvious (rescue units, park rangers, etc.), but when I see a woman driving around her two kids on city roads in a Ford Expedition, I'm baffled. Or when a husband goes out and buys his wife an H2 so that she can be "safer" in it. Yeah, she's safer but what about the sorry sap in the Mini Cooper she just creamed.

I guess the biggest thing that ticks me off the most, is that I'm positive that there is a substantial camp in the Anti-war group who drives these damn things and were out protesting the war in Iraq claiming that it was all for oil. Damnit! They don't understand that we have to get oil to feed their damn SUVs from somewhere. Where else shall we get it? Alaska? "NO!" They scream. We'll destroy the environment. Ok, then why not put in Gas Mileage requirements on all manufactured vehicles. NO! I need my SUV because its ________ (insert: "safe," loud, makes me feel powerful, etc.).

Oiy, it ticks me off. Now I'm not dumb. If you live in the mountains and you face serious snow storms in the winter, that's cool, get an SUV, that's understandable. But if you live Florida and you only use it to drive your kids to soccer practice, then I think you need to reevaluate the real reason why you have your H2 that George Bush gave you a tax break on because he wants to increase the demand for oil so Dick Cheney can make some more money. Ugh.
