What is the best online Music Store?
Recently I've been getting into buying songs for 99 cents or albulms for $9.99 off of the REAL player music store thing. But what pisses me off is that all the stuff I download is like encrypted so that I can't transfer it to my player of choice (Creative Mediasource) This doesnt make any sense to me, why the songs I PAYED for I cant even move around on my computer. The only way around it is to burn the songs to CD then rip them to Creative.
Now the only other services I know of this type are Itunes and Napster and after looking into both of them it looks like they act in the same manner ie encrypting songs. Is there any other good LEGAL programs out there that just download it in plain ol mp3 format to my computer without all this other BS?

I recommend using iTunes, because they allow you to put your music on up to 5 computers. If that doesn't satify you , you can burn the music to CD and re-encode it into MP3 or anything other format you'd like, if you do a search on the net their was an app that someone wrote that cracked the iTunes DRM.

You have to pay extra money to burn CD's.

Yeah I thought you can only burn songs to cd like 5 times for free on iTunes then they charge.
Id rather stick with REAL before I'd go to iTunes. REAL does give you 192kbps quality songs which is the same as a commercial cd. It's just that its in a .rax format that kills me. Cuz I dont like listening to music using the crappy real one player I like my Creative Mediasource.
Like if I burn songs from my REAL music store to CD then take that same CD and try and have CDDB on Creative Mediasource recognize it, it cant. Which just irritates me.

Uh, you're wrong about the iTunes limit. You can burn as many CDs as you want, free. The limit is you cannot burn the same playlist more than seven times. Add and delete one song, and you can go on burning. I think it is just set up this way to prevent mass reproduction.
I like iTunes. It has a large catalog, but moreover, I think you'll be happy with the features. Small things like smart playlists, music rating, the way music is organized, and the interface of the iPod all make it much easier to find what you want to listen to and hear it.
The main weaknesses I find with the Apple system, vs the others, is lower battery life compared with some WMA players available, and about a $50 premium.
As someone who's used both WinAmp and MusicMatch, these are well worth the better interface and additional features.
