Farcry is the most graphcially advanced game to be released yet. It taxes even the fastest video cards, and it looks unbelievable. I'm not even looking forward to HL2 anymore. Farcry has taken it's place.

1) It was at high. My games always are.
2) I don't run 1280 x 1024. Hurts my eyes and there's no need to turn it that high.
3) HL2 will outperform the FC engine.

my point, is that the demo's just barely run smooth at 1280 X 1024 on 9800pro's, because the game has such good graphics. almost no one can use AA, because it causes too much of a slowdown. this is the only game I've seen that has been able to slow down the top cards, which is why I said it taxes today's fastest cards, because it does.

Just because it runs slow does not mean that it has good graphics, or that it's even graphically advanced. It could just be written poorly or poorly optimized. Many, many games have been written that tax graphics cards for reasons other than great graphics <cough>Halo</cough>.

that's true, but when you run the demo, you can clearly see WHY the fps is on the lower side. Halo doesn't have any good graphics going for it, but farcry has the best I've seen so far.![]()
