Is this game any good?

Off topic, but don't go too far overboard - after all, we are watching...heh.

It is called world war two: online
This game sounds pretty cool !

The only thing that sucks is that it is pay to play :(

It seems like you can have TONS of players playing against each other at the same time....like hundereds i think!

Have any of you played it before?

Can you give me a synopsis on it?

Thanks! :)

EDIT: Oh good god this game is terrible!

I looked at the trailer and the graphics are terrible, the animations are terrible...

Other than the graphics and animations, people are saying this game is really good...

I am downloading it now to try out a 30-day trial...it sounds neat...something different :)

no, the game is horrible.

I remember when Battlefield 1942 came out, everyone said that BF was the game they wished WWIIonline was. The game has horrible graphics, buggy as hell, it's just an over-all horrible game.

they've been giving away free accounts and trials for years now, because everyone has stopped playing it.

Heh...i downloaded it and played it offline...

It is definatly realistic when it comes to no crosshair, lots of weapon choices, and tons of tanks (which take a lot of skill to operate)

But as for the graphics...judge for yourselves...

It isn't a bad game in concept, just poorly done.

Its biggest flaw (I only did a trial, so I'm no expert) is that only the nearest 64 (or so) players closest to you are shown, so in a massive battle, you don't see most of the participants.

I played a trial of this game for about 3 weeks, and it was okay I guess. I lost interest because
1) you have to pay
2) riding on a truck for 20 minutes to a city but then getting shot and killed was getting on my nerves.

It's an awesome concept for a game, and I'd like to see BF42 eventually progress to that point, but that game is just flat out horrible. If anyone has seen that Dire Straights video with the 3D moving guys, that game is not far off from them.

It is a great concept done by crappy coders.

Anyone who bashes EA/DICE or any other big game developer when a small bug pops up shoudl be forced to play this crappy game for a week.
