Quit showing off, I own a really crappy old I-mac, still at least it's a mac...

BF42 and BFV would probably run even better if you had 1024MB DDR instead of just the 512MB. Do you have 1 stick of 512 or 2x256?

Yes, and if it's a P4 2.8C 800mhz FSB, get PC-3200/DDR-400. Otherwise, PC-2700 is dragging it down.... don't tell me this is a brand name built machine....ugh, what kind of genius pairs a CPU meant to work with DDR-400 with DDR-333.... :help:

wait a sec...i just recieved the cpu and it says p4 2.8/512/400.....400fsb???? is that possible/....they dont make a p4 2.8 with a 400fsb....i thought it was the 533

For Wolf= High FSB, 256DDR Ram is all you need
(You don't really need any FSB but the FSB will impact performance more than most games.)(533 or 400 is fine.)

For BF42+BFV= 400FSB, 512DDR is good, but 1028DDR is better suited.

but i just bought this motherboard...will this cpu work with it..the 2.8/512/400.........its

Your FSB will be whatever your processor is, you should've bought a 800FSB processor and MOBO or 533FSB processor/MOBO..they should match, so whatever has the lower FSB it will run on that.

so with that mobo..the processor will run on it....it says it supports 800/533/400...so i guess soo..

ive looked all over the intel site for this cpu..and its not even on there....hmmmmm
