Off topic, but don't go too far overboard - after all, we are watching...heh.

1989 Dodge aries. it was a very good car though. I drove it for a long long time without any problems. one day during winter I slid up onto a boulevard in the middle of a street and put a hole in my tranny, so I had to buy a new one. the new one failed, I had to get yet another transmission. then that one stopped working because the gears were stripped  . i bought yet another one, and after it stalled, I said to hell with it. it was starting to go anyway, because it would shake a lot, make loud sounds, stall. was just a headache

Heh.. mine shook any time I took it over 85. Minor detail. Yeah, right before I got rid of mine it was making some godawful noises, especially when I started it up.

Damn thread hijackers......

Anyway, in further proof that fate has an ironic sense of humor, last night my 9800pro DID actually die (horribly and catastrophically died). So today, I had to go to the local BBY, used some clever trickery, and conned them into exchanging my 9800pro out for a 9800XT and letting me pay the small diff. (the X800pros SHIPPED yesterday, so they won't really be avail. for a few more days, at which point I'll likely go switch again).

Funny thing is, using the same cat's (4.4s) as my 9800pro, I get a nearly 1000pt lower 3dmark03 score, since my 9800 pro was o/c'd to speeds higher than 9800xt :P . Owell, gonna have to overclock this one I guess :D

My 9700 should still be good to go for anouther year or so right? Even if I do have to turn image quality down?
