Hmm.. Dunno if you're still interested in trying to fix it but here's what you could do in order:

1. Reinstall/upgrade video card's drivers (You tried that already I gather)

2. Check that you're using your actual video card rather than any crappy old built in card on your motherboard like someone before me suggested.

3. Reinstall the latest version of DirectX or version 9.0b as 9.0c has been known to cause problems in some configurations.

4. When all else fails reinstall windows itself.


Can I ask what brand/model card you're using?

Have you tried slapping your monitor, thats what I do when it doesn't work right.

slaping the moniter always worked for me.. or giving the tower a little "motivaional" kick..lol..or all else fails...spoil it.. rub the sides of the tower and always keep the screen dust free..lol
