Pb ??

i used to play on the server a while back...2years or so ago. I re-installed rtcw and updated to 1.4 with the PB that comes with the download. Every time I join the server I get to play for about a minute or so and then get kick with the message of "kicked for 0 minutes due to PB" or something like that. I tried the utility from PB's site and that made it worse......I'm lost......need help......SOS.

post the whole message, it's probably some crazy cvar.

or when you join, press ~ to pull the console down
and look for anything that says violation.

ex: r_uifullscreen 1; must be =0

then change it to whatever...

ex: /r_uifullscreen 0

did you turn punkbuster on? or is it some cvar setting like previously stated.

I believe the message said "Kicked from server for 0 minutes Punkbuster trying to update"

Edit : Just logged on and got kicked ...the message is "Server disconnected - you have been kicked via Punkbuster ( For 0 minutes)...PB INIT FAILURE

Get "pbweb.zip" from the PB webpage, and use it to do the upgrade PB manually.

tried it...didn't work. Also tried re-installing PB...didn't work.....Disconnected router (their website says netgear routers might be an issue)..didn't work. It is only native to this game, I play BF 1942 all the time without any problems.

I ran the PB.exe again and it seems to have worked. Now to the next step, I remember I use to tweak my cvar settings to brighten the map up a bit since it's so dark. If anyone can help....mucho appreciato.
