I am not nor have I ever been a hacker. I have done everything within my power to keep these types out. The original ban was from testing it, as everyone all knows and remembers the drama that surrounded that situation awhile back. That put me on the mbl, i didnt even know because i only played on the beach. When we started using thee mbl I had to get a new key. From the original incident I never dled or "tested" a hack for any reason knowing one, that i could use the readme to learn and 2 its better left to pb to see how it works. The past incident was fully known by admining staff.
The kick the other night was a kick from the md5 tool with the reason, md5tool mismatch icehook.dll. The icehook is a dll part of the icebot program, a bot used in ENEMY TERRITORY. I had in on my computer from long ago because on our enemy territory server PB is not run and I would view suspicious demos with it for confirmation of activity. Apparantly remnants of the bot were left in my wolf folders (much of my et and wolf stuff is in the same location). The md5 tool recognized the dll, even though there was nothing running, and kicked me for it. As you can tell, since the message was MISMATCH, well it speaks for itself. In short I was kicked for having remnants of a ET bot on my computer (a bot used for admin purposes ONLY).
I immediatly emailed punkbuster after the incident giving the details surrounding the incident. I was not going to post until after I received confirmation of the appeal...but I realize this will take awhile (im not even on the mbl yet). I can more than guarantee it will be over turned because even though the bot is for a quake 3 engine, it is for enemy territory and nothing else.
In conclusion, Savant you were exactly right when u said especially I wouldnt be stupid enough to do something like this. Logically...would I, a admin and rep of the server...with all the drama about hacks lately come on to the server, with MAN AT ARMS right there...and run a hack? Esp on a GAME like RTCW? No.
Now I know that after my post there will be a lot of mudslinging and questions...prob most from waldo. I will more than likely not respond until I think it is one: appropriate two: a serious question or three: i ahve the response from pb.
I did not hack, I do not hack, and anyone who knows me will know that.

Well...PAL!!!!,
I never said that I agree with ANYONE installing a hack. Fuel's Rule #1 on hacking is don't even take the chance. Don't download one, don't install one, don't use one. While I appreciate an admin being "all he can be", they (and we) have to understand that a certain risk comes with testing a hack. Things like this have a good chance of happening. If Doc says that this is what happened, then I believe him.
