Hey fellas have a hard time getting Fun_Beach map working

Hey fellas , now im really confused. I downloaded the latest version and I do not understand where the files go?. there are 4 folders gfx, levelshots, maps, and scripts . The other download was 1 simple file now its scattered up. Its been 4 days and im starting to get that itch and the shakes from not playing. Again any help would be appreciated.

Try and extract the fun_beach_2.pk3 file (if it is there) to your "main" folder. So for instance, in my computer it is:

C:\Program Files\Return to Castle Wolfenstein\main

If you do not have a fun_beach_2.pk3 file, then I got no idea.

Do not extract the files out of the .pk3

To install simply put the .pk3 file in your main directory.

to make things really simple...if you download fun beach version 2.0 from http://www.rtcwfiles.com there will only be one file. Just extract that file to your main folder.

i keep on getting invalid .pk3 files referenced.

Now the bloody thing crashes when it loads. I give up, see you all around sometime when the normal beach shows up.

nm, it loaded fine for me after i restared wolf about three times.

if your talking about the funbeach, you unzip it in ur shubmod folder

Thanks Shipwreck, but no dice. The bloody thing crashes right after the loading part , with no erro rmessage or anything. Thanks anyways fellas, I see you on the beach sometime.

if you're sure you're downloading the right version (there are 2 versions. put the correct pk3 file in your rtcw/main directory) and it still doesn't work, delete all copies of fun beach. type /cl_allowdownloads 1 in the console, and join the map.

if it:
1) says unknown command, you've spelt it wrong
2) starts loading the map immediately, you haven't deleted it properly
3) downloads from the server, then starts loading the map, then crashes, you should clear out other custom maps until it works or try deleting hunkusage.dat (back it up just in case) or wait for regular beach to come back.
4) connects, congrats

you don´t have to write down anything on the console, why not enabling the button "allow downloads" in the server options menu???, right?
